Hard to believe a Michelin starred restaurant lies behind this unassuming facade. The Lebanese chef, Alan Geeam, came to Paris more than 20 years ago, starting as a dishwasher and has recently earned his first star.
As Paris is the capital of Michelin starred restaurants, we decided we had to try one. Restaurant Alan Geeam did not disappoint.
Hummus with trout roeCrispy fallafel and tabbouleh waterThis dish was just beautiful. The colors, the delicate flowers. This was a lobster bisque. You ate it with the yogurt. It was fantastic.
This dish came under smoke filled glass. The smoked filled glass revealed one of our favorites. Sweetbreads. AKA veal brains. They were crispy, chewy and tender all at once. So good.Cheese course with salad and rose marmalade.Dessert. Strawberry with crispy caramel croutons.Meringues with white asparagus, caviar and tarragon cream.Another dish that was just beautiful to see and to eat.And to close the meal, petit fours. Melt in your mouth chocolate, strawberry, coffee and pistachio. Each one was unique and delicious.
