Our meal started with crisp radishes with salt and salami with cornichons. Next came a gazpacho amuse bouche that we were encouraged to pick up and sip, or eat with a tiny spoon. For his entrée (which we have quickly learned is a starter or appetizer), Trey hesitantly tried the escargot. He LOVED them.
I took the sautéed wild mushrooms as they are in season. Delicious! For his plat (main course), Trey had the parmesan chicken. I had the beef chateaubriand with green peppercorn sauce. Both were excellent.
We also each had the potato gratin dauphinois. They were the best single thing I’ve eaten in recent memory and the best au gratin potatoes I’ve ever had. The chocolate mousse and créme caramel desserts were worth every bite. When in Paris do not miss Au Petit Tonneau. It’s a small place, seats around 30 people at the most so reservations are a must.
Wow!! LGP
I love to read the descriptions of the food:)
